- Brain when he was 9 yrs old landed this bull all by him self
It started a few years ago when Capt. Derick called me to take a back country trip. This was the first time any of them had done a chartertrip here in Charlotte harbor. So I told Derick I’ll take them . I got on the phone And spoke to Brain Dads I told him that if he would like to take the kids and try to get them on some sharks macs and a few other things cause that week the back country was slow all week. He said that sounds good it would be great if my kids hooked a few . So 2 days later we hooked a whole bunch of sharks macs I believe we got got 2 cobias also. Then on the way home hes dad book a few more days for the month to come. He had a blast and so did the kids. and he was looking forward to getting them back out . so I made a quick stop and they were able to hook a few reds for dinner for dinner . So far we went 3 days later Derick called me and told hey The trip that he booked had to be cancelled And I said why what happened and he said he had just got a quick call by hes wife a said that brains dad and hes grand farther both dad in a boating accented .And that the kids were Fin . And just the other days Derick calls me and say hey do you remember the the dad that dad. I said yes . He goes their moms just called me and wanted to know if I could take Brian out.
I got on the phone with his mom a she told me the whole story very sad. So I was already booked up and I told her that I had a few friends going but I’ll take him. And not to worry about it. I’ll pick him up at 6am. I told her on the next one she would have to call sooner and right then I knew that this boy was even lucky to get on a boat. After all that he’s family have been tough. So I feel real lucky that I was able to get him out. Things like this is why I love my job. The mom still did give me money and I wasn’t going to say no cause I know she really wanted too. But Brain has grown up and has a pretty good head . He hooked a jewfish and jump a tarpon and hooked alot of cat fish while were fishing for tarpon. He also hooked a few smaller sharks as well. All in all it was a good day and thanks to Robert and John for letting little man come with us.
I took Brain Jigging first thing in the morning he caught on quick. He’s going to be a good fisherman.

It was around PRIMETIME ( thats during sunrise and sunset) my fishin partner John Ball and I were throwing a couple of bone colored SPOOKS under the mangroves on the west wall. John threw in a nice shaded spot and this snook clobered his lure. After a few min. of tough fighting a bullshark came from no where and hit the snook. This is whats left of a 30+in. snook..

Earl and Bubba are quietly sitting in a boat fishing,
chewing and drinking coffee when suddenly Bubba says,
‘I think I’m gonna divorce my wife – she ain’t spoke to
me in over 2 months.’
Earl spits, sips his coffee and says, ‘Better think it over…
……..women like that are hard to find.’

You all know I am Friends with Angel, I am going to explain one of the reasons why we have been friends all these years.
Angle had plans to go out fishing for the day with Robert and English John, Just for fun and a day to relax. The night before a woman called him to see if He would take her son out on a fishing Charter, Her son and the boys Father and Grand father had been on a charter with Angel when the boy was 9 years old. They all had a great time and the boy landed a Bull Shark over 7 feet long by himself with family cheering him on. It was to be the last fishing trip they would take together,as a few days after that charter, the boys dad and Grandad pass away in an accident,
Angel told the mother she could not hire him As he was all booked and could not take a pay trip, But if the Boy now 13 would like he could come fishing with them, So the four of them headed out and They hooked up Tarpon, Sharks, Goliath Groupers , and a few other kinds of fish having a great day.
I heard about this from Robert, and this is is the kind of thing, Angel would do without thinking anything about it. Just the way he is.
Me being the way I am. I wanted you to know too. It takes more than just catching fish to make a good Captain.
Proud of being a friend of Capt. Angel Torres.

June 19th and the 20th no license required
Salt water only shore or boat,
One of the reasons they are doing this is that
as of July 1st 2010 you are still required to have a license
when fishing from shore, but there will be no fee, shoreline
fishing license for residence will be free,
YOU STILL HAVE TO HAVE THE LISENCE>

Hi Frank,
This is Vicki Z. and Bill B. We came to see you in April for
new line and lures for our trip to Virginia.
Attached is a picture of the tuna we caught using your lure. We also got
a large spanish mackerel and at least 3 other tunas.
Thanks for your help!
