Robert &  Capt. Josh  02/24/2024 — Patricio and Jug Creek are seeing trout of assorted sizes. Cover ground to find the bigger ones. Short redfish and the occasional slot fish are showing up. Some sharks are in the deeper areas nearby.

Robert &  Capt. Josh  02/17/2024 — Lots of trout in 7 to 10 feet of water as far down as Captiva Rocks, although one angler reported lots of fish in 3 to 4 feet. Small redfish under the shrubbery, mostly on shrimp.

Capt. Josh & Fishin' Frank 10/03/23  — Very good fishing: Trout, small sharks, Spanish mackerel. Redfish in small groups and singles. If there are any big tarpon still around, they'll probably be in the ICW in Pine Island Sound.

Robert &  Capt. Josh  07/22/2023 — A few redfish. Over the deeper grass, quite a few trout but mostly short, ladyfish and Spanish mackerel. Tarpon were in the area but seem to have moved back to Boca Grande Pass.

Snook against the islands, if you know which have the deeper trough in front of them.
Spanish and some Trout in the 4 foot plus water depths.
Some larger sharks Maybe bulls or Sand bars, on the flats watch the surface for these monsters.

Rat key has some big Red fish, on cut pin fish. The shacks have some nice Trout

flats, and for here it is about cut mullet.

what few you can find are between islands and some are starting to move under the branches

Sharks and blue fish. The shacks have a bunch of reds . if you can get shallow enough.

The snappers are thick arounfthe rocks a lot of bull sharks on hte flats along with some really big lady fish several pounds

     Vinnie- Fishin Franks N. Fort Myers 12/14/18 - ---- Snook are here along with Ladyfish, some Trout, Redfish and Mangrove Snapper, and big Jacks.
Tarpon are crushing Ladyfish near the west end. Tripletail are around the crab traps and they are biting Shrimp.

There has been a marked improvement in water quality each week!

Larger Trout with Sheep head and Snappers aorund the islands
Spanish , Blue fish, Bonnet sharks even some larger bulls and Some
smaller Black tips & Sharp nose

best pplace to find Trout over 20 inches, Sharks all over the flats right now
from Bonnet to sharp nose

Fishin Frank & Robert   01/04/16----- Deeper sand holes are holding lot of Trout
The Pompano and flounder are scattered across the flats.

 

Fishin Frank & Robert   01/13/16----- Trout been good red fish along the bushes and by the Captiva rocks
Trout and pompano in the pot holes on the flats.

 

Fishin Frank & Robert   01/26/16----- Lots of Trout in the deeper sand holes,
the Sheep head are under the mangroves. many of the islands have deeper troughs right at the drip
line of the trees and that is where the sheep head are spawning

 

 

February

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--02/23/15------ Trout and Red fish the Trout are larger
here than else where in the Habror, The Snook are moving out into the holes, maybe for warmth
or food, but they are there and it is almost season

for Big Reds and Sea Trout is still working well, lot sof rat reds up under the mangrove
Spanish mackerel along the inter-caostal

and the red are outon the flats and near the mouths of the creeks mostly Rats
but there are a couple good school of slot fish

into Bokeelia. The after noon which makes sense as it is warmer seem s to be the best bite

A some of the reds are moving up under the mangroves

and A lot of reds on the flats, hard to get a bite going with the reds they seem to be just hanging out

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--03/30/15------Trout larger than average
and Big Snook on the out side edges of the island, along with some Red fish
Spanish on the flats and out side the bars. Some inside Tarpon and Shark fishing
while you are Trout fishing on the flats. Reeling in a Trout and then it turns into a 100 pound Tarpon

The Red fish back on the flats are schooling. And there was a Large pod of Tarpon
which traveled up the ICW to Boca and then was gone again

on the sound is good for Snook , Trout and Red fish.  Pompano and The ICW has Spanish mackerel

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--04/13/15------ Again a mixed bag of many types of fish
Sharks, Cobia in The ICW, the Tarpon are here thick as well. Back on the flats the Red fish
what few you can find are between islands and some are starting to move under the branches
of the mangroves for shade.
Big giant Snook in the deeper holes on the flats

 

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--04/07/15------ Tons of Tarpon, This is some of the better Tarpon

fishing, And there is a lot of Trout on the flats, mostly keeper slot fish,
Sharks are the other thing here, and if you can get the deep pot holes off of the island
A ton of monster Snook

watch for single or double. Red fish near the shacks.
The Snook are bunching up here. the ICW has Spanish

and back on the flats the Snook are stacking up. in the holes any deeper spot is full of snook
spome Trout still on the flats, and There is several schools of Red fish working the open flats

Fishin Frank & Robert   04/29/16--- Lots of Tarpon end to end but the pods are mostly single to
5 fish smaller groups which are easier to target. Sharks and Spanish are also here in good

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--05/25/15------ tarpon and shakrs along the ICW the Red ifsh and Snook
are around the islands, look for moving water, In the open good size Sea Torut and Spanish mackerel

 by the icw the tarpon and Sharks, The deeper hole on the flats have Bigger Trout and Spanish
along with Bonnet sharks .

on the flats, the Sharks from huge Lemons to small Bonnets are all over the flats as well

anchor and wait, The Sharks are in very good numbers .
Spanish macks and Trout are also here in good numbers

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--06/24/15------ trout are scattered but i you look you will find them
Spanish mackerel can be found in the 5 foot of water in front of the channel heading into bokeelia
Snook out isde the bar the big ones any way. The smaller Snook and some Red fish are shadeing them selves
under the mangrove by after noon

Sharks and Trout bith are doing well on the flats

 

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--06/08/15------ Any of the islands are holding a lot of Snook
Some Sharks back on the flats, the ICW has some of the best tarpon hook up rate
just not a lot of Tarpon but they seem willing to eat

the ICW, Sharks and Blue fish in the Icw as well, The Gag grouper are holding in any deeper hole you can find

here in the sound, Sharks and or smaller Cobia back up on the flats,
And there fly guys are steady in the ICW for Tarpon

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--07/28/15------ Lot sof Red fish here, mostly under the mangroves
There is a bunch of Trout in the 3 foot water depths of the flats,

On the open in 4 to 6 feet of wtaer you will find the trout and Spanish mackerel in good numbers

in the ICW, Spanish mackerel are what the Tarpon are looking for so kind of a double cool
The Sharks are also chasing mackerel so the fishing here is pretty good

Trout really moving on to the flats. Some Tarpon, they are looking for lady fish

The rocks have a bunch of Reds and the Tarpon fishing is great fishing on the ICW

Fishin Frank & Robert   11/23/15----- Tarpon scattered all over the flats, the mackerel and Lady fish
both in great numbers here on the open flats , I guess that's why the Tarpon are here.

 

Fishin Frank & Robert   11/13/15-----Lots of red fish around the island, and the Snook
while not thick are right next to many of the red fish, Spanish on the open flat, with the Trout
getting thicker as we speak.

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--12/30/14------- The better place is here the Pompano
are thicker here more thasn anywhere else in the Harbor, The red fish are hdiing
right up under the mangrove branchs, and they are good size slot fish, at least more
slot fish than other areas. Quite a few Snook around the islands as well

and Permit and Pompano are all over the flats
