Spanish mackerel and blue fish.  A few Cobia are still stopping here but I think the cold
is slowing down the Cobia bite

or maybe a sand flea, or small crab, then the trick is here to get the bait to slowly
drift down, so a light split shot then cast up into the tide so it lands on the reef

fish, but for the Spade fish, it needs to slowly drift down or use a float, Spade fish hit better
in the middle water, Not so much top or bottom

the mangrove Snappers are biting, Keep an eye out or I should say a line out for Cobia

Grouper and Spanish the cobia are a shrimp and buck tail with a shad tail trailer. Slow go on your trolling motor.

but 5 minutes later it is a parking lot.

So it is a luck thing -

and Some Black drum, The Spanish mackerel are doing ok but thinning out.
Tarpon and Sharks are the most common catches here, Oh yeah Cat-fish sorry.

Just out side the creek the Trout have moved in thicker, it is a poppin cork thing here to catch
the trout. .The Trout are either just north or south of the mouth of the Creek

as well as a coupe black drum, two reports of Gag grouper both short but fun on the bottom here.
Spanish, Sharks and Cobia are all regulars here right now. so keep a bait on a float maybe a
Pin fish or thread fin. just incase. A dead bait under a bobber works well too.

The Cobia are steady here as well as the sharks.
Spanish mackerel are a feature fish here, poppin corks are the ticket.

but every once in a while a big bull. The Spanish are feeding here a few times a day.

Snapper a couple sheep head, and the sharks are starting to move in around the reef, so there is food for the
Sharks, I would guess there is a bunch of Grouper possible Gag or Goliath.

ishin Frank & Robert's report--03/02/15------- Sheep head and Snapper
Keep a free line shrimp ready if you see a Cobia. On the sunny days watch under your boat
for Cobia laying up in the shade

Fishin Frank & Robert   03/01/16----Big Sheep head on the reef and the Spade fish are hanging out
over the reef, A few Cobia here and there.

Fishin Frank & Robert   03/16/16----A few Cobia but they are getting thicker as
the water warms up, some Snapper and Trout here on the reef.
Spade fish by the south end

Fishin Frank & Robert   03/24/16---- Spanish Mackerel and Cobia are both visiting here
not living here so hopefully you both show up at the same time.
a few Spade fish and some straggler Sheep head on the bottom. and the Gag grouper and
Jew fish "Golith" are staring to show up here, Mid morning the Tarpon have been going by to wherever
it is they are feeding that day

 

 April

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--04/27/15------Kind of mixed reports of A couple Cobia
and Some Black drum, The Spanish mackerel are doing ok but thinning out.
Tarpon and Sharks are the most common catches here, Oh yeah Cat-fish sorry.

Just out side the creek the Trout have moved in thicker, it is a poppin cork thing here to catch
the trout. .The Trout are either just north or south of the mouth of the Creek

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--04/13/15------ mangrove Snapper and Some Sheep head
as well as a coupe black drum, two reports of Gag grouper both short but fun on the bottom here.
Spanish, Sharks and Cobia are all regulars here right now. so keep a bait on a float maybe a
Pin fish or thread fin. just incase. A dead bait under a bobber works well too.

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--04/07/15------ A few sheep head and more nice Snappers
The Cobia are steady here as well as the sharks.
Spanish mackerel are a feature fish here, poppin corks are the ticket.

Some Spanish on the middle of the reef and Cobia are here often, Snapper and Sheep head are scattered
all over the reef

Some 40 pound goliath and a few snappers on the bottom

Cobia are here quite often. Jew fish up to 60 pounds.

a nice Golith or some Mackerel, a lot of sharks here,

same for The Cobia lots of them are smaller, Sharks are here as well and plenty

Cobia and a few spanish still here

Fishin Frank & Robert   05/09/16-----Cobia and Sharks the sharks are smaller
but every once in a while a big bull. The Spanish are feeding here a few times a day.

Fishin Frank & Robert   05/17/16----- hit or miss on the Cobia, but the reef has some Spade fish
Snapper a couple sheep head, and the sharks are starting to move in around the reef, so there is food for the
Sharks, I would guess there is a bunch of Grouper possible Gag or Goliath.

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--06/24/15------ Spaniss mackerel and some good cobia
fishing and the shark fishing is steady here as well. sorry cat fish.

different types, the Cobia are hit or miss, The Snappers and Trout are steady

try a shrimp and a poppin cork and for on the bottom a few Jew fish

the south end betteron the incoming.
The Snapper and Jew fish are here but moving aorund , some spade fish

not living here but visiting steady, Some Snapper on the
bottom. Tarpon and sharks are also a by catch of Cobia fishing here.

 

Fishin Frank & Robert   06/20/16-----Cobia and Sharks, I would have thought the fresh water
would have slowed them down, But they are still here regularly

mackerel still showing up,

ishin Frank & Robert's report--07/28/15------ Spanish mackerel best on the in coming
tides, the sharks and Snapper fishing is good not great right now

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--07/15/15------ Some Cobia not a lot of big ones.
But the sharks are here steady. The Spanish have found enough food to hang out here
So bring your poppin corks when you fish the reef.

There ahve been a couple reports of keeper size Gag grouper, and several short gags
so a good bet right now

feeding on Lady fish and Cat-fish

Fishin Frank & Robert   08/12/15------  The Spanish at the south end a few sharks
and the Snappers are biting, the snapper bite is best during the in-coming tide

the reef and a bunch of Tarpon off the south end of the reef

a couple of Gag grouper not any keeper size yet but hopeful.

Fishin Frank & Robert   11/09/15----- Mangrove Snapper and Spanish mackerel
some Sheep head showing up, and the Bonnet sharks are hitting shrimp on the bottom

 

Fishin Frank & Robert   11/23/15----- Cobia and Spanish,
The Cobia is the real story here they are hitting Cut lady fish on the bottom
The better bet is Shrimp free line or under a bobber,
Snappers and Sharks are both doing well here. Good news Gag grouper are here
on the reef south end is best for Gags

to keep you busy until the Cobia show up, there are Cobia stopping by the reef on and off
al day, mostly shrots but the Keepers do show up.
