9 mile canal or Coca plum water way.
Fresh water fishin here the ramp is right
by the fire department.
you can use any motor here gas or electric, but I believe it is slow no wake.
This is a good canal to fish as it leads in-to several other canals,
One thing to be carful of the are some very shallow places,
Florida law requires all canals to be dammed this keeps the salt water out.

The water flows toward the Myakka. " right to left in these photos."
There are not many Freshwater boat ramps
here that will take a normal size bass boat so here it is.

The dam you see to the left of the bridge, on the slat side is famous
for big snook, do not be surprised to find a
few snook in these fresh water canals.
