Robert &  Capt. Josh  06/08/2024 — It's all about the tarpon and the lunatics who fish for them. Actually, there are mangrove snapper here, but it's not the best place to fish them because of the tarpon lunatics.

the snappers are growing up and people are ctaching larger ones,

Keep an eye for Cobia Sharks both are heading in & Out of the passes, I think it is as the water changes

is also good, quite a few Shakrs in the passes all of the passes are doing well, and pick the closeest one to you
The Tarpon are thicker in the southern Passes but Boca has seen quite a few Tarpon move in
over the lats week. I would still head south like Punta rassa if I was close to there

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--03/22/15------ Starting South with Punta rassa,

The Tarpon have been getting thicker here up to Red ifsh pass, and the red ifsh have moved
back in under the docks. The Snook fishin is getting better as well.
Some Spnaish and Pompano in the ICW and looks like srping is springing up for a lot of the Haror

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--03/09/15-------Lots of snapper in all the passes
A few Tarpon in Punta rassa, YYes the Tarpon showed here. Most of the passes, have some Spanish

Fishin Frank & Robert's report--03/02/15------- Lots of Sheep head here in the passes
the snappers are growing up and people are ctaching larger ones,

Keep an eye for Cobia Sharks both are heading in & Out of the passes, I think it is as the water changes
temp the fish are just checking things out. Big whiting along the Shore line.
Pompano are also here in the passes.

Fishin Frank & Robert   03/01/16---- Veince has sheep head and snappers,
Bcoa and Captiva snapper sheep head and big whiting all hitting, the Spanish are
just moving in, A bunch of little Gag and red grouper have moved int oteh passes
fun but almost impossible to find a keeper

Fishin Frank & Robert   03/16/16---- Tarpon at least one school came into Boca
over the last week,
This was most likly a school fro the river which went out to find if any other were here yet

Fishin Frank & Robert   03/24/16---- Venice has Snapper and Spanish mackerel bith a lot of fun
and the Snook fishing as it gets dark is very good
Boca and Captiva are holding big whiting and the Spanish are here a lot which accounts for all of the Sharks
moving in to these passes
Now the sheep head in all of the passes are thinning out not as many as the last couple weeks

but the ones that are left here are much larger than the normal catch.

is loaded up with nice Snappers, Use frozen or live shrimp, for the largers snapper 16 inches and larger
catch some smaller pin fish use them live and whole just off the bottom. for a 16 inch fish they really
fight at that depth. The Tarpon in boca pass is a early mornng first light event, They are feeding on crabs
a 1/2 once wieght and cast up into the currant, and let then carb sink and move in to the fish with the tide.
once the Tarpon get up onto the hill, it is free line no wieghts so the crab can just drift with the slower water
movement.
