Robert
03/23/17--------Spanish and blue fish, A couple pods of glass minnows
dseem to be bringing in a couple different types of fish to the holes.
Bonnet sharks and a few larger sharks hanging out in the deeper warmer water.
I think the sharks came up right before the cooler weather and use the holes for
more comfortable water temps.
Watch for a few Tarpon out here, if the waters warms 4 degrees there will be a
lot more, We had several reports
of Tarpon here before the chilly weather
Fishin Frank &
Robert
03/29/17-------- maybe a Tarpon or two, And the School of Balck drum
some Blue fish or mackerel.
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--03/30/15------
Lots of Sharks mostly smaller
like Black tip or black nose, But there are quite a few Big lemon sharks.
Tarpon have moved into the holes there is good Tarpon fishing here. and watch
for bird activity
as that is a good sign of 10 to 50 pound King mackerel.
Yes the king you always wanted to ctach 30 pound ish are right here in the
harbor
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--03/22/15------Sharks,
Cobia, Cat-fish, and Lady fish
not great fishing but worth a shot at a Shark dinner
Spanish are hit or miss out here but they have to go by here to get up or down
the harbor
so a good ambush bet
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--03/09/15-------
Cat fish and Some Cobia
Fishin Frank &

the Gag grouper should be thick in the holes any day spawning
Fishin Frank &
Robert
03/24/16---- Spanish and Tarpon along with
some Cobia
The Cobia are over the holes as they move north or south,
what I would do is if you have time try trolling a 15' depth running Rapala, I
think I would use the mackerel
color let it out until it bumps bottom then bring it in 1 crank.

The upper hole or 20 foot hole

quite a few Tarpon they seem to visit this hole while the 20 foot hole has more
regular
Tarpon hanging out. The middle hole is Shark city right now.

trolling a 15 foot diving lure and

March
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--03/30/15------
Lots of Sharks mostly smaller
like Black tip or black nose, But there are quite a few Big lemon sharks.
Tarpon have moved into the holes there is good Tarpon fishing here. and watch
for bird activity
as that is a good sign of 10 to 50 pound King mackerel.
Yes the king you always wanted to ctach 30 pound ish are right here in the
harbor
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--03/22/15------Sharks,
Cobia, Cat-fish, and Lady fish
not great fishing but worth a shot at a Shark dinner
Spanish are hit or miss out here but they have to go by here to get up or down
the harbor
so a good ambush bet
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--03/09/15-------
Cat fish and Some Cobia
Fishin Frank &

Fishin Frank &
Robert
03/16/16---- A few lady fish and some Spanish mackerel
not to forget the Cat fish, but I think by the end of this month the larger fish
will move into the holes
the Gag grouper should be thick in the holes any day spawning
Fishin Frank &
Robert
03/24/16---- Spanish and Tarpon along with
some Cobia
The Cobia are over the holes as they move north or south,
what I would do is if you have time try trolling a 15' depth running Rapala, I
think I would use the mackerel
color let it out until it bumps bottom then bring it in 1 crank.
April-4
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--04/27/15------
Sharks and lots of them,
The Tarppon are here and gone but drifting a big cut bait on the bottom
fr Shaks and a thread fin or Crab under a float for Tarpon,
wiill give you a big fight form one or the other
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--04/27/15------
The upper hole or 20 foot hole
has been the steady Eddie of Tarpon fusing, while the Pirate Harbor hole has had
quite a few Tarpon they seem to visit this hole while the 20 foot hole has more
regular
Tarpon hanging out. The middle hole is Shark city right now.
While there are still some lady and Spanish, the cat fish have moved in, which
makes them
the Tarpon bait of choice for you chunk baiters
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--04/13/15------
Tarpon, Sharks more smaller ones
But quite a few Big Lemons and a couple of larger bulls. had reports of Hammer
head sharks
in the 4 to 6 foot range. Spanish mackerel and Cobia continue to bite well here,
Watch for
movment on the water, Birds, fish busting the surface Ect.
Fishin Frank & Robert's report--04/07/15------ Sharks are the main hitter here in the deep holes
But the Tarpon are here as well.
more reports of each every day. Sharks range from Bonnets- the little hammer
head
to big Lemons, Black tips, black nose and more types. what a fun day. Shrimp for
the little hammer Bonnets and cut fish
for the rest.
Spanish mackerel are thick and seem to be what is attracting all the big
predators.
Fishin Frank &
Robert
04/06/16---- catch the wind, Spanish
mackerel and Sharks
along with some Tarpon and Cobia.
The Tarpon are here but you need to work for them.
Fishin Frank &
Robert
04/16/16----the holes have Tarpon, Cobia, Cat-fish, and a bunch of Sharks
Fishin Frank &
Robert
04/29/16---- Tarpon
Cobia and tons of Sharks
Lots of Silver Trout and Spanish mackerel.
Cow nose rays and Thread fins are what is bringing in the huge amounts of fish
May-5
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--05/25/15------
Tarpon are scatted all over crabs and Thread fins
Still are a lot of Sharks, the sharks are in bunches.
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--05/15/15------
Shark tarpon Cobia, lot os cat fish and some
Jacks . If you see Tarpon rolling go deep with the baits,
Fishin Frank
05/09/15
----- the Mackerel have moved back into the Harbor
and to find them cast spoons or jig through the bait schools.
But I would let them sink a bit first cat see the splash then count to four and
start reeling
Fishin Frank
&
Robert
05/09/16-----There is so much fish out here,
Tarpon, Sharks even Grouper then the Lady fish and Spanish just a lot of
different fish
BIg news the Black Drum are back, huge schools of them feeding or breeding
out in the holes right now.
Fishin Frank &
Robert
05/17/16----- I wish it was all good news
like the school of monster black drum
which in fact is at least 3 schools working the Harbor, but the truth is we had
a lot of cat-fish move
into the holes in the last few days, and I think that is why the Tarpon and the
Sharks are starting
to head back into the holes.
all in all greta fishing through out the open Harbor for mackerel, Lady fish,
pompano along the bars
Tarpon , jacks , sharks, you get the idea
June
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--06/02/15------
Lots of sharks, Tarpon fishing here is scattered
not real good but over by cape haze the Tarpon are more steady. the holes have a
few tarpoon
but better to be lucky than good.
Jacks , Blue fish, Cat fish, Thread fins. the farther south you are now the
better. watch for glass minnow
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--06/08/15------Silver
Trout and a bunch of sharks
small sharks ot big ones, Cat-fish, Cobia, Tarpon all are out here, fish for one
and you are fishing for all of them
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--06/15/15------A
few Tarpon not steady or even enough to fish
for , but enough to keep an eye out when passing by,
The sharks small to big are here, but not great numbers as the Tarpon get
thicker out by the passes
so the sharks move that way.
Spanish mackerel are following the tides in and then out, the mackerel are some
what larger
then a month ago, makes sense right?
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--06/24/15------Tarpon
check the Tarpon map,
There is quite a few sharks here as well as the Tarpon and lots of monster cat
fish.
The lady fish and Spanish are here as well, some nice schools of Thread fins,
for bait
the bait is moving from the 41 bridges all the way down to cape haze so you do
have to look.
income tides I would check the bridges and then look down the middle east side
of the Harbor.
On the out going tides I would check close to burnt store and two pines
Fishin Frank &
Robert
06/09/16----- Tarpon and Sharks, a bunch yes
lot of Cobia
not a lot of keeper size Cobia, but there is still, quite a few Larger cobia.
and just a ton of small sharks.
Fishin Frank &
Robert
06/13/16---- Sharks and Cobia, and Tarpon, I
wont mention
the Cat=fish. But yes all are back herein the holes.
Capt. Karl caught 2 Cobia by drifting the middle hole with live thread fins,
free lined out from the boat.
trolling a 15 foot diving lure and
a larger spoon is producing good results. Bottom fishing these holes
is not very productive at all, drift or troll. un-less you just want to relax
and not be bothered by those
pesky fish.
Fishin Frank &
Robert
06/20/16-----Tarpon are steady here, The Rapala Sub walk rules the
lures for Tarpon With teh DOA bait buster a close 2nd.
Dead bait or live working
SORRY but tons of cat fish out here in the holes, but the tails make great bait
for sharks or Tarpon
Fishin Frank &
Robert
06/27/16----- Tarpon moving in good and lots of cat fish
The Sharks have come back up the habor and are in the holes. I guess following
the Tarpon
July
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--07/28/15------
Tarpon and as many Cat-Fish as you want
the sharks and Silver Trout are thick as well, But there is plenty of Tarpon to
keep you casting
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--07/15/15------
Tarpon are the big thing but the
Most fish here would be cat fish, so chunk up one of the cats and try to catch
your Tarpon
A good by catch to the Tarpon is the sharks, Yes big or small the holes have
them all/.
Fishin Frank &
Robert's report--07/06/15-----Tarpon
and tons of cat fish
and a lot of sharks, Cobia are steady here. but not many keeper size
